Stone Slab

A stair tread is the horizontal stone step surface (and often the nosing) fabricated for stairs. Turkish: basamak; Spanish: peldaño or huella. Thickness, finish, and edge profile are order fields.

Cross cut is a block cutting orientation across the stone’s bedding or structural direction, not parallel to the veins. It usually shows a more clouded or flecked face than vein cut.
