English trade name for Master Bill Of Lading.
A master bill of lading (MBL) is issued by the ocean carrier to the contracting shipper or forwarder. Distinct from a house B/L issued by an NVOCC/forwarder. In trade it also appears as MBL (English), Master B/L (English), MBL No (English). Attested most in Turkey.
