What is “ham”?

Turkish trade name for Raw Finish.

Raw finish is the rough, unfinished stone surface left after sawing or extraction, before grind or polish. Factories and buyers use it for blocks, slabs, or pieces still in process. Turkish trade says ham; Spanish often says en bruto or bruto.
