Efflorescence is visible crystalline salt deposit on masonry or stone surfaces from moisture transport. A defect/appearance issue managed by detailing and cleaning. In trade it also appears as çiçeklenme (Turkish), Çiçeklenme-Tuzlanma (Turkish). Attested most in the UK, Turkey, and SG.
