What is “dolgulu”?

Turkish trade name for Filled Finish.

Filled finish means natural pores and cavities in the stone are closed with filler before final surfacing. It is common on travertine so the face reads solid rather than open-void. Spanish trade often says poro tapado or taponado; Turkish says dolgulu.
