What is “apomasado”?

Spanish trade name for Honed Finish.

Honed is a matte stone finish made by abrasive grinding without a high-gloss polish. Buyers order it when they want a smooth, low-sheen surface for floors and walls. In trade it is widely called apomazado in Spanish.
